There's a bit of flexibility here, and it depends on how you'll use the phone. If it's your daily, you'll probably want to pick up an unlimited talk/text + data plan. We don't sell plans directly, but we can point you to some good options depending on your country.
We recommend using Sidephone as a 2nd phone. Ideally, your Sidephone should only ring in the event of an emergency or if a 2FA code comes in. This means you can buy a pre-paid or pay-as-you-go SIM, load it with just $25, and keep the line active the entire year.
We want to make a phone that you can travel with. Sidephone is being designed to be compatible with the largest telecom carriers around the world. The phone will come OEM unlocked.
Sidephone comes with a 1800mAh battery. Replacing the battery is possible, and we'll help guide you through it.
The phone can be charged by a USB-C cable. When used as intended, the Sidephone has enough battery to last 8 days between charges.
We're not looking to sell you things you don't need. A used Android or Apple phone repurposed to be a minimal phone is a fantastic option, and better for the environment too.
